Contacts and Support

Students

Students are supported in practice by a Practice Supervisors, the Nominated lead in the clinical area is available to deal with student concerns as is the Practice Assessor. Link lecturer, personal tutor and Practice Education Facilitators (PEFs) are a point of contact for students seeking support or who have concerns.

Student forums are available every month in East, Central and West of Betsi Cadwaladr University Heath Board. The University Practice Education Facilitators co-ordinate these forums for students to explore effective practice learning strategies, challenges, share learning experiences and identify further learning needs.

Support for Practice Supervisors and Assessors

The nominated lead person in each placement area is charged with supporting and advising the practice supervisor and assess The Practice Education Facilitators will be holding sessions via technology or in future face to face to help PS/PAs keep up to date with their role, curriculum developments and share experiences.

All Wales PEF Group and HEIW are also developing an online update that will be integrated into the mandatory updating via ESR.

The PEFs are available for advice and support and can be contacted on pef@bangor.ac.uk.

Each area of BCUHB has named PEFs but we all work across practice learning placements.
